Modern Slavery Policy

We, Hamlyn Williams Ltd, are committed to ensure we have in place policies and procedure to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

This statement sets out our commitment to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our business activities.

As a business we take anti-slavery and human trafficking seriously and have a duty to be alert to risk, however small. Our staff are encouraged to report all and any concerns to management in accordance with our procedure for the business to act upon them,

Hamlyn Williams Ltd's structure

We are a recruitment agency providing talent across multiple industries, including financial services, technology and life sciences. Our supply chains include, but are not limited to, sourcing candidates for clients.

Hamlyn Williams Ltd operates in the UK and provides recruitment services to industries based in the following countries:

  • UK

  • Netherlands

  • USA

  • Hong Kong

  • China

 

We have approximately 250 employees based in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Hong Kong and China.

Responsibility for application of our anti-slavery policies and procedure, and ensuring our processes are up-to-date is held by the Operations Director, Victoria Doig.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We have an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy in place, along with related policies including a Whistleblowing Policy and a Code of Conduct for all staff.

Due diligence process for slavery and human trafficking

Hamlyn Williams undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new clients, and reviews its existing clients.

We expect the same high standard of care of our supply chain and expect them to aim for high ethical standards, operating in a legally complaint and professional manner.

It is of utmost importance that our supply chain comply with all applicable laws and industry standards on workers’ wages, working hours and minimum working ages in all countries. We carry out due diligence of all our supply chain to ensure they are legally compliant.

We check all candidates’ right to work and that workers have access to our staff to report any wrongdoing or concerns.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.

Ongoing review

To ensure that Hamlyn Williams has appropriate and effective processes and policies in place, they will remain under review and will be updated to meet the highest standard of care.
